While I'm finishing my current pool painting I will put some oldies up. This painting of my grandsons must have been painted around 18 years ago as both these kids are now in college. This painting was actually painted outside over a period of days. I don't know if that qualifies as PLEIN AIR or not.
Nancy...Re whether this painting qualifies as "Plein-Air." If it was done outside; doesn't matter how many days, weeks, months or years it took; it's still "Plein-Air.

Perhaps you're thinking of "Alla-Prima," which means "Completed -In-One-Sitting."
