Water Colors


 Monday morning is a good time to start a whole new thread.  So I will be showing water colors.

Water colors are tricky.  Unlike oils you really don't get a second chance to get it right.  My objective in these pieces was to work while the paper was wet enough so there were soft edges but not so wet that the colors ran into each other...too much.

They are all of images from Ocean City, New Jersey where I have spent many happy hours.

This is the first.  I spent many hours sitting on this porch looking at the bay and the backs of the neighbors who lived right on the bay.
